What I Want: Wednesdays#3

Hi guys! I have been in the market for boots lately so before I head out to stores, I started online shopping (naturally) to see what kind of styles are out there and found these amazing booties from anthropologie.com

These are the Gwen Booties and they come in brown, as well as navy. How adorable are these?! Both colors are absolutely perfect for fall! I like how these boots can be used to dress up an outfit but can also be casual. These paired with skinnies, leggings, or skater skirts would be absolutely adorable.

I must admit, the laces are what I fell in love with!

If any of you know of where I can find more cute boots, please let me know in a comment down below! Also, what kind of outfits do you like pairing boots with?

Talk to you soon!

Adventures of Jeice and Tuck

Hello! As you know by now, Tucker is my dog but I have also mentioned the name Jeice a couple times. Jeice is my best friend's dog and one of the main reasons why I have Tucker today. I have known Jeice since we has 3 months old and he's a year old now.  Out of all the dogs I know, he is the most well behaved, sweetest snuggler around! Jeice and Tuck get along incredibly well. They didn't come from the same litter but they're still considered brothers since they grew up together and do pretty much everything together:) I figured I should provide some background on him since he'll be in a lot of my blog posts as well!

Anyway, it has been raining the past couple days but there was a little break in the rain so we ventured out to a dirt trail close to my home yesterday. Brittanys are gun dogs so they have a strong natural ability to hunt. Neither my best friend or I are hunters (we live in the suburbs so hunting isn't that common anyway)  but the boys still have a blast chasing birds, rabbits, squirrels, and other small animals. Since they're high energy dogs, it was important to let them use some energy/get some exercise before it started raining again so they didn't have the need to destroy things at home. Both Tuck and Jeice fight trashcans when they don't get enough exercise (only happened about three times and we're hoping to keep it that way). Needless to say, the boys enjoyed their outing yesterday and nothing was destroyed! yay!

Luckily there weren't any massive mud puddles so clean up wasn't too horrible!

If you have a pet, what kind of activities do you like to do to keep them busy on a rainy day?

get to know me

Today I am going to be answering some questions from a "Get To Know Me" tag that I found to let you know a little more about me :)

1. Are you named after anyone? I was apparently named after my mom's favorite actress from her favorite soap opera at the time.
2. When was the last time you cried? Since we're being honest, probably about a week or two ago. Broken hearts are no fun.
3. Do you have kids? No.
4. If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself? Yes I would! I'm extremely easy to get along with so I can be friends with pretty much anyone.

10. Scary movie or happy endings? Scary movie with a great story line and cheap scares kept to a minimum! those sound effects man...
11. Favorite smells? vanilla, fresh laundry
12. Summer or winter? Winter! I live in southern california so its pretty much summer all year round. I prefer the cooler days because  you can get cozy and its just more relaxing for me. You can also layer to keep warm but theres only so much you can do to stay cool!
13. Computer or television? Computer. I don't really watch t.v. but when I do it's usually from my computer.

19. Favorite movie? Tie between the Shawshank Redemption and Blazing Saddles.
20. Do you have any siblings? Yes, one older sister.
21. What do you want to be when you grow up? I already consider myself a grown up but as I get older I want to be more successful personally and professionally!
That's pretty much it for this tag! I tag all of you and if you do it, leave it in a comment down below so I can check it out:)

Pumpkin and Pumpkin Pie Smoothie..Yum!

Hi everyone! I finished carving one of my pumpkins last night and since I have been obsessed with Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker lately it of course has the Triforce symbol on it. It was a little more difficult than I thought because I had a hard time trying to make it symmetrical but it was still fun to create. It didn't come out exactly how I wanted it to but it came out close enough.

Anyway,  I don't know about you but I just love the smell of anything pumpkin :) Needless to say, I was craving something pumpkin so I made a delicious, super easy pumpkin pie smoothie!

ingredients:
4 Tbsp Pumpkin Puree (1 or 2 more table spoons if you love pumpkin as much as I do)
1 Cup Vanilla Almond Milk (you can use any type of milk but this is what I prefer)
1/2 Cup Greek Yogurt (or Vanilla to enhance the flavor)
1 Banana
2 tsp Cinnamon

All you have to do is blend it all up, garnish if you wish and enjoy! I wasn't kidding about the super easy part. I put some whipped cream on top, sprinkled some extra cinnamon, and added a pumpkin flavored wafer. You can also add a cinnamon stick or 2, crushed ginger snaps or graham crackers.

If you try this out, let me know :)

What I Want: Wednesdays! #2

Hello! I went up to Los Angeles this past weekend to visit my sister and we did some shopping at the Grove. I was in Topshop (one of my favorite places to shop) and found way too many things that I wanted to add to my wardrobe but I promised myself I wasn't going to go on a crazy shopping spree and surprisingly enough I had way more willpower than I thought! Anyway, I found this dress and it was love at first sight
This is the rosemerry embellished dress. The berry color and just everything about it is so perfect. I am not usually into heavily embellished pieces but it works so well on this dress. There is really no need to worry about accessorizing, except for the right shoes and handbag of course!

I set one rule for myself which is, if this dress is still on my mind in a month, it will be mine.

Tucker Tuesdays

Hi guys! I haven't decided quite yet but I'm going to try this out for awhile. Just like my What I Want Wednesdays posts, I am thinking of sharing Tucker related things on tuesdays. If you don't already know, Tucker is my sweet, adorable Brittany puppy that I love tremendously. Now it's not necessarily going to be all about Tucker specifically but I do know there are a lot of pet parents out there so I figured I could share my favorite pet food, toys, treats, etc. along with training tips and other things that I know I look for when I'm looking for food or toy reviews to hopefully help some of you out and even the process I went through to determine what kind of puppy was going to be right for me to help out those of you who want a dog but can't decide what breed would be a perfect fit for you.

Moving along, I am always looking for new treats for my pup. I am also a huge believer in feeding him food with ingredients that I am familiar with...same with our food! I mean, who really wants to eat something that contains an ingredient no one can even really pronounce?! anyway, I have been giving Tuck treats by Zuke's ever since I brought him home and I really like the fact they use natural ingredients. I give him the soft treats which are extremely convenient for training since they're pretty small and easy to carry around. They also have a variety of flavors which I like to believe makes it that enjoyable for dogs. Again, we (as humans) like variety when it comes to our diet so why not provide the same for our pets?

Along with Zuke's, which I use specifically for training, I like using jerky treats by I and Love and You when I feel like giving Tuck a treat just because:) I didn't know this particular brand existed until I came across their salmon oil when I was looking for a new bottle (which I also recommend, will do a review on and will explain why I like using it in a future post) that I mix with Tucker's food because it contains DHA and makes his coat so soft and shiny.
One of the reasons why I love this company, besides the adorable name, is they truly care about providing the best quality products for pets AND they donate food to several no-kill shelters and adoption centers. In addition, they use USDA/FDA registered facilities, human quality ingredients and free-range, cage-free, wild-caught meat. There are a lot of pet food companies that use animal by-products which do not provide all the nutrients our pets need. I know treats aren't meant to provide a huge source of nutritional value but they're still being consumed so it is important that they contain similar ingredients. I and Love and You has a wide range of products from food, treats, supplements, etc. so definitely check them out if you are in the market for any of those things. It will definitely be worth it!

If you try anything out or want to recommend any treats you give your pet feel free to leave it in a comment down below! I'd love to check it out.

Naturally I have to end this with a picture of Tuck on the way to the park with his Dad :)

    early birthday brunch

Hello internet! This morning I went to an early birthday brunch with some friends, had some delicious mimosas and tasty food. It was a great time to catch up and we started planning a trip to Vegas which we are hoping will happen sometime soon. Before brunch, I was able to do some shopping and found a great pair of black madden girl sneakers for under $20 from TJ Maxx. I found a couple other things but those shoes were definitely my favorite find today. I sometimes forget how awesome stores like TJ Maxx, Marshalls and Homegoods are when it comes to finding quality clothes, accessories and home decor at discounted prices. While browsing, I found some really cute home decor pieces that I would love to add to my home for Fall and most likely will once I get around to it. I unfortunately didn't have too much time to shop since I was on a bit of a time crunch but that's what the weekend is for.

I will definitely have some sort of haul when this birthday weekend of mine comes to an end. I also have some DIY projects and fall inspired recipes that I will be posting within the next couple of days as well. Until then, see you soon!

    birthday coming up

I honestly stopped caring about my birthday once I turned 21 but a little part of me still gets pretty excited this time of the year. It's actually pretty amusing to think back when I used to spend so time planning out my birthday parties, inviting anyone and everyone, making sure to please everyone, stressing out about unimportant things surrounding my birthday and dealing with unnecessary drama. Although I enjoyed that time of my life, I still wonder what about that was actually enjoyable. The only conclusion I could come up with was in a room with a crowd of people,  my most enjoyable moments were with the only people I care about the most...not the randoms. Now the only thing I care about is spending time with good company which is what I try to do on a daily anyway.

I have a couple things planned but nothing too big. I am seeing some close friends on Friday for brunch to catch up on life, spending most of the day of my birthday with my best friend in the entire world (he still has yet to give me any indication as to what we're actually doing but I trust it's going to be a good time as always haha!) and then going up to L.A. on Sunday to spend time with my sister. It doesn't seem like much, but it means a lot to me<3

I am turning 26 this coming saturday, October 19, and even though my life isn't exactly where I had originally planned, I am still content with the woman I have become, the experiences and opportunities I have been given, and the amazing people I have met.

    What I Want: Wednesdays!

Hi! I am thinking on Wednesdays I will post about something that I've been eyeing and hope to eventually own or do. Whether it's a clothing item, a beauty product, a book I want to read, a place I want to visit, etc. Today will be the day to daydream about it.

My first one is this awesome Military Parka from Free People:

I am an avid online window shopper and fell in LOVE with this jacket the moment I saw it. I love the detailing and I love how feminine it is. It is very versatile and can complement any outfit. On the days I don't feel like trying, I can usually be found in a skirt (circle skirts lately), a basic top, and ankle boots or sandals since I live in southern California and its rarely ever too cold. Throw this on top and I would have one really sweet, effortless outfit.

    first post EVER

So, I started this blog awhile back and haven't touched it since...I think its about time to change that so here is my first post and naturally it's going to be extremely awkward and random but thats okay! The whole purpose of this is for me to have a place to share my random thoughts and ideas. I enjoy creating things when I feel inspired which is almost everyday, I love trying out new products, visiting new places, shopping and baking so most of my content will be centered around those. In addition to the randomness, I also intend to share lots (& I do mean lots) of pictures of my adorable puppy.

speaking of, here's one now :) Tucker and his big brother Jeice: The cutest pups you'll ever meet.
